Ivey Global Lab (IGL) team – A little bit of here and there
To Ivey Business School students from Western University of Canada, 8-week period is not only a golden opportunity to apply in-class learning into real-life and professional working environment for their internship but also a good way to discover every nook and cranny of Vietnam when living as a local resident here.
# IN AWE OF (SKULL) ISLANDS
Having watched or heard of the blockbuster “Kong: Skull islands”, probably IGL team don’t want to miss out on chosen film locations such as Ha Long Bay, Quang Binh Province and Trang An – Ninh Binh. Triggered by the breathtaking view of these places, youthful Canadian students follow adventure call to totally emerge themselves in greenish islands, coastal sea and jump to joy when witnessing the art of barefoot boating (can’t imagine how it is, check it out on the below video!)
# GEMS HIDDEN IN THE HEART OF VIETNAM
Hanoi is a metropolitan area allowing foreign fast-food chains, huge malls and hustle-and-bustle lifestyle. However, IGL team has successfully found a unique local community by Duong Tau (Railway) street and together overwhelmed by the high-pitched hooter. And, after that, a sip of Egg coffee at original Giang Coffee store will be a magical remedy for calming the heart.
# LUMINOUS FLOWER LANTERNS
Coming to Hoi An Ancient Town, IGL students not only slowly savor specialities there but also imagine themselves as Rapunzel immersing into the ocean of glowing and dazzling stream of colorful flower garlands and lanterns. According to Vietnam culture, each lantern released into the river is seen as a fulfilled wish.
So, hopefully, after the internship, IGL students would become such luminous gems that others have to stand in awe of their talent and effort!
