ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP

Especially, it is playing an important role in the economic development of the Red River Delta region in the North and Mekong Delta region in the South. One of the country’s biggest goals is to advance its current technologicial level to make the industry become more efficient, more productive and more competitive in global market.

Intern Requirements:

Be enrolled in university, graduated or have relevant work experience in the field of interest
Languages: English (required by most organizations)
Proficient computer skills: MS Office, Email, Internet Usage, etc
Soft skills & interpersonal skills (communication, teamwork, presentation, decision-making, time management, etc)
Passion for work & ability to work under pressure
Other specialized knowledge, professional skills & qualities to perform the job (vary by placement and depend on the specific host organization)

Main tasks:The intern will be assigned to work in project, under the direct supervision of the vice director and other engineers. Tasks include, but not limited to:
1. Work with the engineer team to understand project requirements
2. Take part in creating waste water treatment plan
3. Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and CAD models
4. Read and comprehend design drawings and equipment data sheets
5. Evaluate the environmental impact of the project, hazard or commercial operation

Main tasks:
1. Calculate and review the design of lighting system, lighting control, electrical system
2. Prepare documents and spreadsheets for the application of achieving green building certification
3. Review electrical and lighting system design drawings
4. Edit drawings and produce reports based on design drawings
5. Implement lighting simulation

Main tasks:
1. Site visit and directly guide contractors about LEED and LOTUS solutions
2. Provide guidance on how to write reports on waste sorting
3. Provide guidance on how to write up reports on material selection
4. Receive reports and respond to relevant departments

2. Coordinate with project teams to work on the designs complying with LEED, LOTUS, GreenMark standards
3. Participating in a short-term externship at a petrochemical engineering company with other Chemistry students of the university
4. Responsible for LEED, LOTUS, GreenMark submission reports
